Cosmetics analyses at the highest level
Cosmetics are products that directly contact the body and have specific promises in regard to their effects. Consumers therefore expect special care to be taken in regard to product compatibility and efficacy, as well as the assurance that the products are free from harmful substances. Together with our customers, we verify through laboratory analyses and application tests that the products are safe for the market and deliver what they promise.
Any cosmetic product placed on the EU market must first undergo thorough testing and safety assessment.
These products are applied directly to the skin, hair or nails. Many times, they also come into contact with the mucous membranes of the eyes, the intimate area, or the mouth. In the European Union, cosmetic law is governed by two main pieces of legislation - Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 on Cosmetics and Cosmetics of All Kinds, the recommendations are for manufacturer's. Thus, it is possible to maintain the same and high safety level of cosmetic products and facilitate their distribution in EU countries.
Before placing a product on the market, the product owner must prepare a safety assessment report and submit the product to the European Cosmetic Product Notification Portal (CPNP). European legislation on cosmetic safety is very strict. Every cosmetic product undergoes extensive testing: microbiological, physicochemical, dermatological, stability and tolerability testing, as well as validation of market claims and safety assessment reports (performed by experts - safety assessors).
