Sensory Tests

Sensory tests are conducted by applying the human sensory organs for the purpose of testing and measurement. The properties of the food sample are perceived, determined, and analyzed by means of the individual senses (sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing), by observing them visually as well as consuming the food product.

With this process, the condition and/or quality of the food product can be assessed. In the food industry, the sensory test is an essential building block for quality control, product development, and the determination of shelf-life.

We provide you with the simple descriptive test, conducted by a trained and qualified panel of testers, based on DIN 10964. In this test, the characteristics and/or characteristic properties of the test sample are described verbally.

We are accredited for conducting sensory tests on the following matrices: meat and meat products, milk and dairy products, nonalcoholic beverages, as well as beer and beverages mixed with beer.

Furthermore, we carry out AMA seal of approval tests for meat products, milk and dairy products, fresh eggs and egg products, as well as processing and treatment products.
