We are very proud of the recognition that we at Lavetan received in 2019 for our contribution to the Flemish manufacturing industry (read more about it on this website Made Different).

Agoria and Flanders Synergy are the initiators of the Factory of the Future concept; food companies are supported by Flanders Food in achieving the Factory of the Future Award. Lavetan was one of the first organizations to receive this recognition. A good example paves the way: there are now 42 Factories of the Future, but Lavetan is the only laboratory that has obtained this award. Each company has its own production process, challenges and opportunities. One thing they have in common: they may call themselves a digital factory, and with good reason. These factories are as diverse as they are inspiring.

Through Lavetan you have a team of experts who deal every day with the constantly changing requirements in the field of food safety in our largely automated laboratory.

Lavetan is active in the three segments of the food industry.

Starting with the primary sector, which mainly takes place on the farm. Activities here focus primarily on poultry and cattle farms.
In the second segment, the processing sector, are the manufacturing companies: slaughterhouses, dairy processors, ready-meal producers, bakeries, vegetable processors.
And finally the distribution sector, which distributes the products from the other sectors to the end user.
