Are you concerned about PFAS in your product?

PFAS - per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances - are a particularly hazardous group of chemicals that are often used in food packaging, non-stick cookware or firefighting foam. Because of their persistence, they enter the environment and soil through water and spread rapidly. Through the food chain, we humans ingest PFASs, which can then accumulate in our bodies. Exposure to PFAS has been linked to serious health problems such as cancer, liver damage, and developmental disabilities.

PFAS analysis is a routine accredited parameter by GBA Group, for which we have developed a proprietary method. With our HPLC-MS/MS method, we can detect PFAS at concentrations as low as 0.1 µg/kg, which means that we can also easily control the maximum levels for PFAS in certain foods that have come into force in the EU since 01.01.2023. Our comprehensive accreditation covers validated matrices such as meat, fish, eggs, vegetables and milk.

Analyze your food products with our accredited routine parameters. Our analytics are based on years of experience and use of the latest technology and quality assurance protocols to ensure consistently reliable results.
