New EU Regulation 2021/155 amending Regulation 396/2005 regarding maximum residue levels for carbon tetrachloride, chlorothalonil, chlorpropham, dimethoate, ethoprophos, fenamidone, methiocarb, omethoate, propiconazole and pymetrozine in or on certain commodities. These changes will apply from September 10, 2021. There are no further use-up periods.

In general, glyphosate-based crop protection products will be banned from January 1, 2024. From this date, not only will the EU approval expire, but also the subsequent transition period. The analysis of glyphosate is a routine parameter of the GBA Group.

Already in the field, crops take up contaminants such as heavy metals from the soil. The uptake of contaminants like lead and cadmium by crops is a pathway of dietary exposure to contaminants that has been understudied. Heavy metal testing is a routine parameter of the GBA Group.
