Results of the BVL Mycotoxin Monitoring

In 2019, various nuts were tested for aflatoxins and ochratoxin A in a representative monitoring. Overall, elevated mycotoxin levels were only recorded in a few cases. The mycotoxins aflatoxin and ochratoxin A can already be produced during harvest and transport, but also during storage. Therefore, nuts should be analyzed before import.
