Sustainable and safe: The new GBA Group certifications
The GBA Group has been certified according to the latest standards according to DIN EN ISO 14001 and DIN ISO 45001. Successful audits undertaken by independent, neutral examiners have confirmed that our company conforms without exception to all the norms both for occupational health and safety and for environmental management.
DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 requires organisations to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable practices in order to stress the importance of environmental management within the company, to conserve resources and reduce negative impact on the environment. All levels of the GBA Group are expected to focus on environmentally conscious procedures and seek to increase their implementation continuously. A systematic approach and constant improvements will support sustainability and contribute towards a more effective balance between the environment, society and the economy – not only today, but also for future generations.
Certification according to DIN ISO 45001:2018 is designed to protect the people working within a company – for the GBA Group, its employees represent the most valuable resource of all. Throughout the certification process, GBA demonstrated that it supports and safeguards the physical and mental wellbeing of its employees, taking proactive steps to avoid work-related injuries or illness and ensuring that safety and health standards are paramount at all workplaces. Clear guidelines, measureable indicators of safety at the workplace and continuous improvement of working conditions are aligned with constant scrutiny of the interaction between the company and its employees, as well as between workers and machinery, will further enhance standards of health safety at the workplace throughout the GBA Group for years to come. This also encourages and ensures employee awareness and participation in health and safety protection at the workplace.
These new certifications underline our commitment to the future: GBA intends to lead by example in occupational health and safety and in matters of environmental management. Certification has been validated for the following locations: Freiberg, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Hameln, Herten, Hildesheim, Pinneberg and Scholven.
