1.2.2022Ban on titanium oxide (E 171) as a food additive With Regulation (EU) 2022/63 amending Annexes II and III of Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 with regard to the food additive titanium dioxide (E 171), the ban in food will apply from 07.08.2022. Titanium dioxide is a widely used whitening agent and is used for the optical enhancement of industrially produced food.more
